Moissonnier - History - 1950

From their earliest childhood, Gabriel and Paul, Emile Moissonnier's sons, grew up in the midst of wood shavings, half-finished sculptures and the smell of wax. They nurtured the dream of recreating their father's workshop on an industrial scale so as to make the company known outside the confines of their native Bresse. They achieved this at the end of winter 1946, when a handsome factory was built. Then in the 60's, Moissonnier produced items for prestigious New York retailer Bloomingdales.
